Ms. Butler's class is performing "It's Electrifying!" on Tuesday, February 13 @ 8:20 in the MPR. Afterwards, we will showcase the toys the students have made using circuits. Please plan on joining us if you can.
Students will be making a toy in room 18, Ms. Butler's class, that uses an electric circuit. Please discuss their ideas, and help them collect the supplies they may need. I will be supplying the batteries and supplies to make the circuit. Items they may need might be ; empty water bottles, duct tape, cardboard boxes, etc.
The toys will be built in class starting this Friday, so start bringing in your items now! We have 2 exciting field trips in the month of February.
February 8: is a free field trip to Cabrillo National Monument. We do need chaperones for this. Please let us know if you are interested. February 20: We take the train to Mission San Juan Capistrano. We do need chaperones for this trip. Students cost $20.00 Chaperones cost $25.00 Permission slips are coming home soon, so be on the look out! Thank you, The fourth grade team Welcome back to school! We hope everyone had a safe, relaxing, and healthy winter break. We are going to jump right in and get to work. the 4th grade classes will be performing a play called, "It's Electrifying!" Scripts are coming home. Practice your speaking parts and songs each night. Our performances will be sometime in February.
The students have started learning to square dance in preparation for "Gold Rush Days," which will be on April 17. (date subject to change) We will send you more information about that later. If your child is planning on going on the Star of India overnight trip, and you haven't already sent in your money, plan on doing so by February 23. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask us. The 4th grade is going to see the movie, Wonder, on Tuesday, December 19. Please get your permission slips in as soon as possible. We also need drivers for this trip. Tickets cost $10.00 for both students and adults, so send in your money and let us know how many tickets you need. Thank you,
