Directions:
Create a brochure about one of California’s four regions: Mountains, Desert, Central Valley,
Coast. Design and create a travel brochure encouraging people to visit your California region! Your brochure should be visually appealing and informative. Include key information, but be creative.You will need to use the research we gathered in class and as well as gather more on your own to complete your project. Your brochure must include all of the following:
Cover:
First Inside Panel: Map
Second and Third Panel: Writing
Geography (river, lakes, peaks and landforms)
Climate (temperature and rainfall so tourist know what to pack in their suitcase)
Sports
Historical Site/State landmarks (museums, lighthouses, observatories, etc.)
Tourist attractions (Aquariums, Cities, National Parks, Zoos, etc.)
Recreational Activities (Skiing, Hiking, Swimming, etc.)
Native plants
Animal Wildlife

Fourth Panel:
Site all the sources you used to gather information.

First Inside Panel: Map
- Include a map of California. Label all the regions and provide a relevant key. Label the natural resources of your regions (rivers, soil, trees, water, etc)

Second and Third Panel: Writing
- Introduction Paragraph
- Select 4 or more of the following topics and write 3-5 sentences for each. Use persuasive writing to make you're readers want to visit the region while being informative.
- Label each section
- Concluding paragraph
